While all eyes are towards the Samsung Unpacked event where in the South Korean giant is likely to introduce the foldable smartphone, Samsung finally unveiled a new Android tablet instead. The new Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is an updated version of the Samsung Galaxy S4. It now gets the latest processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 and is even given slimmer bezels. Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is claimed to be the Samsung’s thinnest tablet ever. The addition of “e” to the name suggests the gadgets available in the affordable price range. This naming series seems to be quite similar to the alleged Samsung Galaxy S10e which is the affordable version but brings in high-end features to the handset.
As already specified, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e in UAE is the lightest and thinnest tablet with metal uni-body in the Galaxy tab series. It measures 5.5mm thin, weighs 400gms. It has even preferred to give the Galaxy Tab with 81.8 percent screen to body ratio so as to maximize overall space. This is almost similar to the 82.9 percent ratio in the Apple 11-inches iPad Pro. If we observe, this is quite an improvement over the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 that features 79% ratio. The device is given with a 10.5-inches Super AMOLED screen with 16:10 aspect ratio and 2560 X 1600 screen resolution. In order to maintain the premium look, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is built of metal rather than glass as in Apple iPad. This should definitely help cut down slippery that was found in the Samsung Galaxy S4. It features a modern look with rounded edges and is now sleeker and aesthetic. It ensures to provide all-day streaming as it offers 14.5-hour battery life with a giant 7040mAh battery. For the first time, Samsung brought in the Samsung assistant Bixby 2.0 to the tablet series. The device also gets the built-in DeX support thus allowing to be used as a PC when connected with an external display. So, the users can now interact with the device using a mouse, keyboard, and screen. Another exciting feature of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is its operating system. It runs on Android 9 Pie. This should definitely be a massive upgrade over the Samsung Galaxy S4 Oreo interface. In order to supplement the media usage, the device gets 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 512GB using microSD card. The 4GB RAM keeps the system run effectively even in the multitasking environment. Samsung also announces the availability of another storage variant- 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. Talking about the camera, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e packs in 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. It is capable enough to capture 4K videos at 30fps.

Yes! Samsung Galaxy S4 is quite admirable for its brilliant screen and the multitasking capabilities. However, it costs you around AED 2383. Now, it is quite good to know that there is an alternative which is less expensive than Galaxy S4 and boasts the same screen with updated software. However, it lacks in S Pen support. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e will carry an affordable price tag at just AED 1465. In the upcoming Unpacked event, Samsung is yet to unveil more exciting products including the three variants of Samsung Galaxy S10 and even the foldable phone.
