Looks like Samsung will release a budget-friendly device after the expensive models like Galaxy S8, S8 Plus, and the upcoming S9. If everything goes as planned, the company will release Galaxy J2 next year in Dubai and UAE at a price as low as AED495.
Once launched, it might fall under the entry-level segment and rival with some of the Xiaomi smartphones of this price range.
Coming to its details, the Samsung Galaxy J2 will most probably get a Super AMOLED display screen of 5-inches. In this aspect, we can see an upgrade to its display specs, which increased from 4.7-inches to 5-inches now, when compared with its older version.
However, the design of both the versions look almost similar featuring a plastic body panel and a physical home key. Besides, it is also likely to carry the same qHD 960×540 pixel resolution.
Moving on, it might get an 8MP main camera and will sport a 5MP front shooter. Interestingly, both the cameras will include LED flash option.
Under the hood, it will carry a 1.4GHz quad-core, Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset that is paired with 1.5GB RAM. We can expect it to have 16GB internal memory, along with an option to use microSD card.
Besides these, there is also information available about its battery, which is speculated to be of 2600mAh capacity. When released, the Galaxy J2 might run on the Android Nougat OS and might support dual SIM, 4G, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity options.
If this device is launched at the said price in UAE, it will be a sigh of relief for users, who are expecting a feature-rich phone at an affordable price tag.
Recently, the South Korean phone maker has also announced two of its upcoming Galaxy A8 Series handsets, which will be its flagship models in the mid-range segment.
