Giving an end to all those months of rumors and leaks, the Korean giant officially announced two new smartphones in the market- Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Galaxy S10 Lite. The phones are revealed ahead of CES 2020 and importantly ahead o the Apple iPhone SE 2. The company announced these handsets intending to bring in premium features without ditching your pocket much. Samsung claims that the devices are to give “access to signature Galaxy innovations, including the latest camera features, S Pen, and other key tools” to everyone. So, with this statement, it is quite clear that Samsung is planning to attract a wide range of buyers with budget-friendly variants of original models.
Mobile CEO DJ Koh says, “The Galaxy S and Galaxy Note devices have met consumer wants and demands around the world. These devices represent our continuous effort to deliver industry-leading innovations, from performance and power to intelligence and services. The Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note10 Lite will introduce those distinct key premium features that make up a Galaxy S and Galaxy Note experience.”
Let us see more details of these lite variants we know so far.
The first notable and distinguishing feature between two Samsung Lite variants is the S Pen. You get Bluetooth low energy equipped S pen with Air Command support. It gives you remote control over the device to access certain features. Especially with the Air Command support, you will be able to do a lot more things. There is a punch-hole display that houses the same 32MP camera as in Galaxy Note 10 on 6.7″ FullHD+ display.
As for now, the company didn’t specify the chipset used, but you can be sure of having it built on the 10nm process. Well! This hints for the Exynos 9810. Memory front, again, there is 6GB/8GB with 128GB internal storage. On the rear, there exists a triple camera setup of 12 MP primary shooter with Dual Pixel AF, f/1.7 aperture size and OIS, 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, f/2.2 aperture and a 12 MP telephoto snapper with f/2.4 aperture.
Interestingly! The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite in Dubai offers a 3.5mm audio jack, which the regular phones are avoiding. It will ship in with Android 10 over the OneUI 2.
With the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, the company is taking up photography to a new level. Alongside the new Super Steady OIS, the device features a 48MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 123-degree FoV ultra-wide angle sensor with f/2.2 lens, 12MP sensor and a 5MP macro camera. The Galaxy S10 Lite is first in series to get the new Super Steady OIS that offers better stabilization than other Samsung smartphones. In the punch hole is a 32MP front snapper with f/2.2 aperture. Even the S10 Lite has the same 6.7-inches Super AMOLED plus display with HDR10+ support. So, in terms of display, Galaxy S10 Lite shines over Note 10 Lite in UAE. Internally, it could be the 7nm processor or Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, as in Galaxy A90 5G. Memory-wise, it is similar to Note 10 lite with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.
On Friday, Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 10 Lite and S10 lite, but the availability dates and pricing is still a mystery. According to the speculations around, two devices will go on sale by the end of Q1. And price-wise, the Galaxy Note 10 price in UAE should be around AED 2455, while the Galaxy S10 Lite price in UAE is AED 2660. The Galaxy S10 Lite will be available in Prism White, Prism Black, and Prism Blue colors. On the other end, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite appears in Aura Glow, Aura Black, and Aura Red.
