HMD Global is in plans to release the Nokia 6 in early 2018 with some new updates to the phone’s hardware and design aspects.
If reports are to be true, the upcoming version may sport dual rear cameras, improved hardware, and bezel-less display. Although released in late 2016, Nokia 6 was up for sale in many markets only in 2017 including UAE.
Specifications wise, the current version is good except for the hardware, which seems a bit outdated. Hence, we can expect this issue to be fixed with the upcoming edition. Information about the new edition is not available yet. But an official announcement is likely to come in January or February.
The release date of the updated Nokia 6 is probably near as it has already appeared and cleared TENNA. Rumors are that the handset may come with a model number TA-1054 and flaunt 18:9 display of 5.5-inches. It may also support dual SIM and have fewer bezels compared to the current version.
The company may introduce the improvised version with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, probably paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal space.
As most of the recent releases like the LG V30 Plus, Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Nova 2S equip a dual camera set-up, this one too may have such aspect. If this is true, it will be a plus as this year’s handset features only a single lens 16MP camera.
In terms of design, we can expect the fingerprint scanner to shift to the rear panel just below the camera. Other than these, the Nokia 6 (2018) may pack in Android navigation buttons, Bothie feature and on-screen keys.
