Huawei Mate X Will Go On Sale In June

April 13, 2019

The much-awaited Huawei Mate X will finally go on sale starting June this year, which is just two months after the release of another foldable phone – Samsung Galaxy Fold.

According to a source, it has noticed a prematurely-posted listing of the Mate X handset on one of the official online stores of Huawei, which confirmed its release date. Most probably, the new device will first show up in China on the confirmed release date. However, the Huawei Mate X launch date in UAE is yet to be revealed.

As for the Huawei Mate X price in Dubai, there is still no confirmation about the same. However, some of the online sources are hinting at the handset’s price will be around AED 9560 when it goes on sale. When compared with the Samsung Galaxy Fold, whose sales will start later this month, its price will be approximately AED 8645, which is reasonable than the Huawei’s upcoming device.

Undoubtedly, Huawei’s smartphone looks way more interesting than the other foldable phone. Unlike what the South Korean company is offering, Huawei Mate X sporting an 8-inch FullView OLED screen uses the Falcon Hinge that folds totally flat without showing any visible crease. And when it is folded, it will transform into a two-screen smartphone that features displays of 6.6-inches and 6.3-inches.

When it comes to the technicalities, the Mate X from Huawei is said to come with the brand’s 7nm Kirin 980 SoC processor, which will be coupled with 8GB RAM and internal memory of 512GB. Interestingly, this will also get the brand’s Balong 5000 modem chip, which is rumored to make way in almost all the Apple’s 2020 iPhone models. In addition, it is also likely to carry the quad-antenna 5G array that assures download speeds of around 4.6Gbps per second.

Apart from this, the upcoming Huawei Mate X is likely to carry a quad-lens camera array and USB-C connectivity option. The handset is said to come packed with a massive 4500mAh battery that gets the brand’s SuperCharge support. On the other hand, it will feature a high-functioning fingerprint scanner that is built into the power button.
