The new BlackBerry Key2 LE looks almost similar to its bigger sibling BlackBerry Key2. Moreover, it gets a bit bigger keys than the BlackBerry KeyOne. The best part is, it features a Speed Key with 52 customized universal shortcuts. This reduces the necessity to visit home screen often to access any applications or contacts. It boasts the same 4.5-inches display with a matte keyboard of 1620 X 1080 resolution, but it now weighs less and the keyboard is slightly smaller in dimensions. Since it is the toned-down variants, the keyboard doesn’t support capacitive touch feature as in the original Key2. Since the chassis is of plastic rather than of aluminum, you get to choose from different color shades- Slate, Champagne, and Atomic. Moreover, the BlackBerry Key2 LE boasts dual rear camera of 13MP and 5MP sensors. The front end features an 8MP camera with the support of LCD flash, face beauty, selfie panorama, and a new portrait mode. The beauty mode is almost similar to the one identified in the Huawei P20 camera. As for the remaining BlackBerry Key2 specifications, the KEY2 LE is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage options. If you need more, then there is a microSD slot to expand the storage further.
When compared to the BlackBerry Key2, the battery is a bit smaller at 3000mAh. However, this would be enough to get a full day battery life with a moderate usage. Even though the battery drains quickly, the device comes in with the support of Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0. It can charge the battery quickly. As in the BlackBerry Key2, even the LE version runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and we may soon find it to be updated to Android 9.0 Pie. So, there is no much change in the software suite. With this new BlackBerry Key2 LE, the company is trying to offer an accessible entry point to enjoy the benefits of a Blackberry smartphone.
With some minor changes to the original BlackBerry Key2, the new BlackBerry Key2 LE price in UAE is made fit to the affordable range. Also, it will ship in two different storage variants.
