Recently we have seen the Cupertino company upgrading the Apple iPad Pro lineup with the new iPad Pro that packs in impressive internals and specifications such as the latest A12X Bionic processor, and Face ID. Now, according to one of the Chinese reports, the company is expected to unveil iPad Mini 5 and a new entry-level iPad that is alleged to be Apple iPad 7. Reports further claim the devices to make its appearance in the first half of 2019. Citing these two devices, the publication writes “Apple reportedly plans to launch two entry-level tablets in the first half of 2019, including a fifth-generation iPad mini and another entry-level iPad model.”
There is not much revealed about the newest iPad model nor about the new iPad mini. But the reliable and popular analysts hint for the Apple iPad Mini 5 to get an upgraded processor at an affordable price point. We haven’t seen any upgraded model since the launch of Apple iPad Mini 4 back in 2015. Many of us still prefer to buy the same at a bit higher Apple iPad price when compare to entry-level latest iPad. In the last month, we have already seen an Apple iPad Mini 5 case leaked online. This suggests that the upcoming model is likely to carry similarities as 2018 iPad Pro and will come up with the support of Apple smart connector. The leaked case revealed the model with a vertical camera alignment which supports the above rumor. Earlier in October 2018, we have also heard from the popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who stated that the company is about to launch two new iPad mini models in late 2018 or in the first half of 2019. If rumors from the DigiTimes are to be true then the entry-level iPad that is presumed to be Apple iPad 7 will be the successor of the Apple iPad 6 that costs around $329.

DigiTimes report doesn’t share much details or specifications of the alleged iPad models. Even the Apple iPad Mini 5 release date is not yet made official. Irrespective of the release date and price, both the models are entry-level models and may not get advanced features as the current iPad Pro models. Of course! This is fair enough! Since we are expecting the devices to be in the affordable price range, the specifications will be limited.

After going through several rumors and leaks, DigiTimes report states that Apple is in works for the new iPad Mini model that is expected to launch in early 2019. This mini model will debut alongside the standard Apple iPad. Leaks suggest the latest iPad model get a vertical dual camera as well as a headphone jack. Also, it is expected to pack in an upgraded processor with an affordable display panel. As for its design, it is expected to be quite similar to Apple iPad mini 4 and will be a bit slimmer and lighter than the previous model. Being an entry-level model, there is every chance for the device to retain its home button, Touch ID and thicker bezels.
According to the rumors, the new entry-level Apple iPad is likely to get slimmer bezels as in the latest iPad Pro model. Since the Cupertino company is mainly focusing on the entry-level iPad model, the upcoming iPad 7 would definitely get huge upgrades. It is likely to feature 10-inches display with bezel-less design, fingerprint sensor, and a Face ID. Since it is preferring to have a bezel-less design, we may not get to see the touch ID. Moreover, it is expected to be thicker than current models and may get the support of Apple pencil. In order to enhance the performance, the device might pack in A11 Bionic processor. Even the previous Apple iPad 6 was updated with a faster processor and Apple Pencil.
