  1. Apple iPhone 8

As this year Apple iPhone will be turning ten, the celebrations have to be a grand one. So to make the year memorable, Apple will be unveiling its luxurious flagship smartphone iPhone 8 with two other variants. iPhone 8 is pitched as one of the most impressive phones ever built by the Cupertino company. And the selfie shooter holds a 12MP camera. The device is powered by a 3800mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with a quick charging facility. Nokia 9 with its ‘killer’ looks is going to reach the markets at the end of the year.

The Chinese company is up again with its new handset OnePlus 5 which will very soon go on sale, maybe in the next two months that is June or July. Going by its predecessors, we can say that OnePlus 5 is surely going to be a masterpiece. The handset’s design will be similar to its previous models, stocked with amazing specs.

Rumors suggest that there will be two variants of this handset which will hold a whopping 6GB and 8GB RAM which will make the phone run effortlessly. OnePlus 5 offers Dual 12MP for the rear camera with LED flash and the front camera includes an 8MP camera. The handset also includes a front-mounted fingerprint sensor and a fast battery charging (dash charge) which is supported by a non-removable Li-Ion 3580mAh battery. This handset contains sterling features which can give a tough fight to Nokia, Samsung, and Apple iPhone.

Google Pixel 2 is the sequel to its predecessor which had made its debut last year. As per some predictions, Pixel 2 will be an improved one with upgraded features and could release by the end of this year. The handset will run on the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU and consist of 4GB RAM. Rumors say that this smartphone might come in two screen size that is 5 and 5.7-inch screens, both will have a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. And the most interesting part of the story is that the flagship phone Google Pixel 2 will operate on the very latest Android O and is water resistant as well. The device will be charged quickly as it will be equipped with Quick Charge 4.0 and claims to charge the phone within few minutes or so. Google has been tight-lipped about its flagship device so much of info has not been garnered. It is expected that Pixel 2 will most likely hit the shelves in autumn, mostly in October or November.

After the success of Xiaomi Mi Mix, the developers are quietly working on the continuation variant Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. It is designed by Philippe Starck, who had also crafted the successful Xiaomi Mi Mix. Sources say, the handset will be bezel-less or will contain very thin bezels with no physical home buttons and will be water and dust resistant. Even the 3.5mm jack will be ditched and the acoustic earphone technology will take its place. The IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen will have a resolution of 1080 x 2040 pixels and will be equipped by the strong MIUI 9. Chipped by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and operated by Android Nougat the handset will come in two variants, one will carry 4GB RAM and the other one 6GB RAM. The dual 16MP rear camera will be involving dual LED flash and front snapper houses a striking 13MP camera. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be charged by the fast battery charging (Quick Charge 3.0) by a gigantic non-removable Li-Ion 4400mAh battery. When your phone has such a powerful battery support then you don’t have to worry about the frequent energy refills. Mi Mix 2 also includes rear-mounted Touch ID scanner. This high-end device will be coming to the market later this year.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is the successor of the hapless Galaxy Note 7 which was in the headlines for quite a long time. Galaxy Note 8 comes in two variants that are 6GB and 8GB RAM, which is quite huge. The handset will operate on Android Nougat. The front shooter nestles 8MP camera while the rear camera renders 12MP camera with dual LED flash. It also includes an ‘Iris scanner’ and a front mounted biometric system. The device will be charged with a non-removable Li-Ion battery with fast battery charging facility.  Speculations also say that Galaxy Note 8 may incorporate wireless charging too. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will probably release in the next quarter of the year.

HTC launched their flagship phone HTC U11 which is completely wrapped in metal chassis with QHD screen and remarkable audio performance. The HTC U11 renders some amazing camera lenses, usually the rear camera holds a higher pixel, but in this case, it is little different. The front snapper houses 16MP camera whereas the rear shooter incorporates a 12MP camera with Dual LED flash. The Touch ID sensor is embedded in the front of the device. HTC U11 is energized with a massive non-removable Li-Ion 3000mAh battery which offers a feature of fast battery charging (Quick Charge 3.0). It is also said that the 3.5mm jack may be ditched in HTC U11 instead of that a 3D audio recording with its four “omnidirectional, high sensitivity” microphones will be included. The handset is also equipped with HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition speakers, which strengthens both the speakers placed at the bottom edge of the phone and the earpiece as well.

The most alluring part of HTC U11 is, it has got touch sensitive edges which when scrolled will help in navigation.

Though HTC U11 is launched in May 2017, it is yet to hit the market.


  1. Microsoft Surface Phone

Microsoft is proficient in its laptop and smart watches, but when it comes to smartphones it cannot match up to the grandeur of Samsung, Apple or Nokia. It is said that Microsoft Surface Phone could be the last one in the smartphone series of Microsoft. Due to its limited success, the makers are pulling it off the market.

The rumored Microsoft Surface Phone will probably release by the end of this year. According to the CEO Satya Nadella, Surface Phone will be an ‘ultimate phone’ and will be available in three variants- Consumer Edition, Business Edition, and Enthusiast Edition. The phone is said to be framed in a metal body and will have a 5.7 inch display. As per leaks, Microsoft Surface phone will come in three variants of storage and memory upgrades: the first model will hold 3GB RAM / 32GB storage, second model: 6GB RAM / 128GB storage and the third one 8GB RAM / 500GB storage. The handset will include the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. Rumors suggest that the Surface Phone could hold 21MP rear and 8MP front camera. Unfortunately, no concrete information has been revealed till now as the company has been very secretive about its project.


  1. Oppo Find 9

Oppo Find 9 is the brand new smartphone which will hit the markets very soon. It is said that this handset could be bezel-less which means the phone will have an edge to edge display and will be chipped by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and run Android Nougat. It is expected that the display will be of 5.5 inch AMOLED screen with a Quad resolution secured by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Some leaked info says that Oppo Find 9 will have two storage variants and memory upgrades: 6GB / 128GB and 4GB / 64GB. The back camera will hold a camera of 21MP and the front camera will include 16MP snapper. The handset will be strengthened by a monstrous 4100 mAh nonremovable battery with a fast battery charging property. The company has been working on this model in a hush-hush environment, so not much has been revealed. So the news which we gathered so far about the product should be taken with a pinch of salt.


  1. Nokia 8

As HMD Global brought in the Nokia series after a long time, the fans are desperately waiting for the Android smartphones to get in their hands. You might have to just wait a little longer before you can purchase it because good things take time. This smartphone with high-end features is said to be inexpensive as compared to Nokia 9.

Nokia 8 is said to be wrapped in a polished metallic body with narrow bezels and is curved at the edges giving it a classic look. The 5.7 inches display has a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels with a fingerprint sensor in the front, fixed at the physical home button. The handset comes in two variants. The first one is chipped by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, with 6GB RAM plus internal storage is 64GB and the second variant consists of Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 with 4GB of RAM and the internal storage is 128GB. The internal storage capacity is expandable via SD card. Nokia 8 holds a rear camera of 24MP with Carl Zeiss optics and the front camera is of 12MP. The speakers of the device will be embedded at the front. The phone is still in the making and probably by the end of the current year hit the shelves.
