The Battle of the Giants

October 13, 2016

The Smartphone world has always had its fair share of surprises. From conservative brands breaking free from their molds with bold, fun designs, to mind-boggling features that tweak technology to wondrous extents. We’ve seen it all. But this time it’s different. There are three Phone giants, new phones released around the same time, a battle for the top position, and a whole lot of drama.

First to enter the ring was the Samsung Galaxy Note7. Samsung has always been a crowd favorite. Over the years Samsung phones have managed to create a name for themselves as a user-friendly, sturdy, reliable phone brand that doesn’t always dig too deep into your pocket. True, along the way this time, the Note 7 suffered a few minor setbacks owing to a couple of faulty phones. However, they were few and far between, and a true Samsung fan would know that they rarely disappoint.

Next came the Apple iPhone 7 series in all its glory and perfection, but with its own set of hiccups. Apple has always targeted its niche swear-by-Apple crowd. Its exclusive nature, smooth functionality, and sleek phones instill a feeling of suavity in anyone using it. Not all may have been thrilled by the fact that the iPhone 7 was devoid of a headphone jack, however it’s still an Apple phone, and that in itself makes up for any flaws.

The last one to make its way down the ramp is Google’s Pixel. Google has come out swinging, vowing to soar high with its Pixel series. Is it all talk, or will Google actually take the market by storm? This tech giant has pulled out all the stops to create a phone that ticks all the right boxes. Google may be fairly new to the smartphone world, but has consistently launched one incredible phone after the other. And its biggest perk being Google phone users enjoy being one of the very first ones to receive Android updates. Now that’s a big plus.

One wonders who will make it to the top this time around. Well, only one way to find out. Let’s compare the three to see for ourselves.
