Recently, Samsung unveiled four new smartphones in J and A-series- Samsung Galaxy A6, Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus, Samsung Galaxy J6 and Samsung Galaxy J8 with infinity display. This design gave the handsets almost 15 percent more display area without the need to increase the size of the smartphone. They get the dual rear camera that allows capturing professional bokeh images. Of these handsets, the Samsung Galaxy J6 is given a lower price tag and even other handsets are offered exceptional features. As for now, let us differentiate between the Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus and Samsung Galaxy J8 2018 which makes it a bit easier to have a wise selection.
Talking about the design, both the devices carry similar design with Infinity display. They boast extremely thin bezels and the fingerprint scanner is now moved to rear end for added convenience. Both the handsets feature a bigger 6.0-inches Super AMOLED display of different resolution. The Samsung Galaxy J8 2018 has a screen resolution of 1480 X 720 pixels while the Galaxy A6 Plus features 2220 X 1080 pixel resolution. They are powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC that is coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. As in Galaxy J8, even the Galaxy A6 Plus gets 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. As for the camera, the Galaxy A6 Plus and the Galaxy J8 2018 share similar rear camera setup. They have dual rear camera setup of 16MP and 5MP with an aperture of f/1.7 and f/1.9 respectively. On the right side of the camera, there is an LED flash and below the camera setup, it packs in a fingerprint sensor. The handsets differ in terms of the front camera sensor. The Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus houses 24MP sensor with an LED flash and f/1.9 aperture, While the Galaxy J8 2018 boasts 16MP sensor accompanied by an LED flash. Both devices get the same 3500mAh battery to fuel up the handset. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS and FM Radio. The alleged Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Pro is likely to unveil with four cameras.
Being the mid-range handsets, both the devices are set at an affordable price range. The Samsung Galaxy J8 price in UAE is around AED 961 and the Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus costs around AED 1315. Despite all the Galaxy A6 Plus specifications remain similar to the Samsung Galaxy J8 2018, the A6 Plus prices high. Maybe this is because of the front camera sensor. So, if you are really a selfie enthusiast then Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus will be the best option or else one can settle down with Samsung Galaxy J8.
