Lately, the South Korean phone maker Samsung has updated its budget phone lineup. After revamping the Galaxy M Series, it is now focused on updating the mid-range series. Already, the company has announced of launching the new Galaxy A-Series smartphones every month starting March. On average, it will introduce nearly four models until the first half of this year. So far, Samsung Galaxy A10, A30 and A50 were released and now, it is the turn of Galaxy A20, which is the fourth model in the series.
With the handset now available in markets, here we provide you its details covering its features, specifications and more.
Samsung introduced the A-series so as to offer feature-rich devices in a budget range. The newly launched Galaxy A20 sits between the Galaxy A10 and Galaxy A30 models, thus making it settle in the mid-range segment. And hence, it is pretty obvious for these devices to share some common features. A look at its specifications on paper, makes us believe that it is indeed a value for money device. The Galaxy A20 sports a 6.4-inch HD plus Super AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 720×1560 pixels. It features the Infinity-V notch that houses the front-facing camera. And it gets a waterdrop notch at the top, which looks almost the same as in Galaxy M10 and M20 models. As for the design, the handset is thin and sleek and looks similar to the other handsets in A-series. The fingerprint scanner is in the rear end, while the power and volume keys are on the sides.
In terms of optics, Samsung Galaxy A20 in Dubai sports a dual camera in the rear. This set up includes the main 13MP lens with an aperture of f/1.9, whereas the secondary camera comes with a 5MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture. And at the front, it gets an 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture which has a fixed focus.
When it comes to battery, it is bestowed with a massive 4000mAh unit. It isn’t as surprising as most of the Samsung and other branded phones these days are offered with high capacity batteries, which are capable of supporting all activities for a longer time. This battery also supports fast charging through USB type-C port.
Under the hood, Samsung Galaxy A20 gets an octa-core Exynos 7884 SoC processor, which is just perfect for the mid-range smartphones for the way they perform. It is coupled with 3GB RAM that comes with an internal memory of 32GB and can be further expanded up to 512GB through a microSD card. And on the other hand, it runs on the latest Android 9 Pie operating system along with the company’s One UI at the top.
Samsung Galaxy A20 is launched in three attractive color options to select from including Red, Black, and Blue. The device is available in all Samsung online stores, authorized centers, and a few e-commerce portals as well. As for the cost, the new Samsung Galaxy A20 price in UAE comes to approximately AED 660.
