It’s not a long time since Nokia has launched its high-end smartphone model 8 with 7.1.1 Nougat. During its launch, the company had also promised of rolling out the latest Android version at the end of 2017.
Sticking to its promise, the HMD Global has now started rolling out the 8.0 Oreo update to this device. This is the first major update to the latest Nokia Android phone ever since its release.
The final version of the operating system is out now after being through the Oreo beta test last month. But users may still have to wait for a week or more for the update to hit their devices.
Here, we provide you the screenshot of Android 8.0 update on the Nokia 8.
In the screenshot, you can see the Google Security Patch in the update. This security patch is issued by Google as a fix to the Wi-Fi KRACK exploit, which is a critical security vulnerability issue relating to Wi-Fi.
Other additions in the latest Android version include notification dots, faster boot up, autofill passwords, picture-in-picture, and Google Play Protect security scans.
In addition to this, the company also confirmed about other models like the entry-level Nokia 2 and Nokia 3, and the mid-range Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 to receive this update in the days ahead.
We can expect the mid-rangers to be next in the line as these will be very soon added to the Beta Labs program as per the sources.
