Amidst the leading brands like Apple and Samsung, Nokia too managed to make its presence felt this year. It has offered some successful entry and mid-range smartphones in the Dubai and UAE market like Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 8.
Besides, the Finnish company is also busy working on its new devices Nokia 7 and Nokia 9. Both these were actually rumored to have a year-end launch. But now, the launch is postponed to early 2018 by the HMD Global. The reason for this is probably to keep ready enough stock of both the models before they are up for sale.
Moving into details, the Nokia 7 (already available in China) runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat system and is upgradable to the Oreo version. There are both 4GB and 6GB RAM options with 64GB internal memory.
It also packs features like a 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor for effective performance. It comes with Carl Zeiss optics 16MP rear camera and has a 5MP camera setup on the front.
As for the Nokia 9, it is likely to have a large display screen measuring about 5.7-inches. The display with 2560×1440 pixels would probably have minimal bezels. This Nokia smartphone might be fitted with the Snapdragon 835 chipset, 3000 mAh battery and will be powered by Android 8.0 Oreo.
