Just like the last year, Nokia might surprise and amaze us this year too with its new devices. And the latest reports suggest that HMD Global is all set to release the Nokia 1, which will likely sit in the entry-level segment once it arrives.
If reports are to be true, this will be the first Android Go smartphone from the brand that may show up in the coming weeks. A few image leaks recently have given us the glimpse of this upcoming device, which definitely has left us impressed.
Sources say that HMD Global is currently working on its first Android Go device. The Go edition version will be based on the Android 8.0 Oreo and will be more user-friendly.
Android Go is a lighter and stripped down version of the Android 8.0 Oreo OS. It carries the same features as the actual version. However, this edition will be available with some pre-installed Google Go edition apps such as Google Go, YouTube Go, FilesGo, and so on.
As for the specifications, the Nokia 1 looks very much similar to the Nokia 2 in terms of design. We can spot the matte Grey finish on its back panel in the leaked images. And just like the other models, this one too features a bumped out camera probably of 8MP, which might be accompanied by a 5MP front shooter.
Rumors suggest that the upcoming phone might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor that is paired by 1GB of RAM. Other features that are likely on the Nokia 1 include HD display, a quad-core chipset, and a large 4,100mAh battery.
It is very soon for the price details to come out, however, some sources speculate it to have a price tag ranging between AED346 and AED375.
