In the recent times, a few reports surfaced online stating that Motorola is working on a new handset, which will be based on Android One. Even the name of the phone to be based on this platform was dubbed as the One Power. As this device is expected to arrive soon in markets, another report emerged online, thus shedding light on another Motorola handset that is said to be currently in works. Sources are hinting at the new device to be the first Android Go smartphone from the Lenovo brand.
The first time that Moto C2 in UAE was spotted was on one of the websites. According to the site, this smartphone will enter the market in different variants, and this one will have the model number XT1920. Called as a successor to the Moto C, the new Moto C2 is already approved for sales in a few select markets and will very soon enter the UAE market. As far as the design and looks are concerned, there is still no news about the Moto C2’s style and appearance, but it is expected to carry the latest design elements as seen in the latest handsets like strong metal body, curved corners, and a large screen.
Some sources are stating that the handset will have thick bezels unlike the trend being followed by all smartphone brands. Besides this, some rumors are indicating that the phone’s screen might vary between 5.0 and 5.2-inches and will probably measure 147.88mm in length and 71.22mm in width. As almost all the smartphones these days are coming with 18:9 aspect ratio, the C2 is also most likely to have this aspect. Some of the phones with similar aspect ratio include Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus, Google Pixel 2XL, OnePlus 5T, Honor 7X and many more. So far, there are no details available about the upcoming phone’s optics but we can hope for better cameras at both front and back. As many devices are now equipped with the best camera specs, we might see aspects like the front-facing flash, touch focus and more on the upcoming phone.
As far as battery is concerned, there might be a 2100mAh unit on the offer. It is still unclear whether or not it will support fast and wireless charging considering the budget range it will come with. In addition to these, there are a few more aspects we can anticipate in the entry-level smartphone such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, Corning Gorilla Glass for the display and so on.
Based on the reports available, the Moto C2 in Dubai will run on the latest Android Oreo (Android Go edition) operating system out-of-the-box. There is no information of the chipset it comes with, but a quad-core MediaTek processor is anticipated. It might be available with 1GB RAM and internal memory of either 8GB or 16GB options to select from. Hence, all the details available now are just speculations, but considering the brand’s intention of introducing a new Moto C2 lineup, it might be true that we will see an Android Go device very soon. As the handset is being termed as an affordable and entry-level device, there might be only a few upgrades to the hardware and other aspects too.
No exact details of the Moto C2 launch date in UAE is available yet, but most probably the company will launch it in this year itself. As for the Moto C2 price in UAE, it is too soon to provide the price details of this upcoming phone as it is still under the development phase.
