After the LG V30 in 2017, the company introduced the LG V35 ThinQ back in May 2018 with some advancement in hardware internals. Immediately after its release, it has unveiled the new LG V40 ThinQ which has some technical advancements over its predecessor. Being the latest handset, the LG V40 ThinQ holds taller dimensions than LG V35 ThinQ. Both devices are made of slim metal and glass material with slim bezels. While the LG V40 ThinQ has triple camera setup on the rear, the LG V35 ThinQ offers dual lens camera. They have the IP68 rating thus making it water resistant. Additionally, the LG V40 gets dual cameras on the front with a notch display as in LG G7. The LG V40 ThinQ features a bigger display of 6.4-inches than the 6-inches OLED display of LG V35 ThinQ. Even the screen resolution is higher at 3120 X 1440 pixels.

Both the V-series smartphones pack in the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 6GB RAM. However, based on the benchmark testing, the LG V35 ThinQ is proven to render better performance than the latest handset LG V40 ThinQ. As for the internal storage, both the LG smartphones feature 64GB of storage with a microSD slot to expand the storage up to 2TB. They share the same battery of 3300mAh capacity. They come in with a support of fast charging technology as well as wireless charging support. When compared to LG V30, the LG V40 ThinQ and LG V35 ThinQ get an enhanced far-field voice recognition technology. On the camera front, the LG V35 ThinQ boasts dual rear camera of 16MP sensors. As for the front camera, it features an 8MP sensor which is a huge bump over the 5MP sensor in LG V30. The LG V40 ThinQ has some major improvements in the camera sector with the addition of two extra lenses. As in the Huawei P20 Pro, the device packs in triple camera lens of 12MP, 16MP, and 12MP sensors. When compared its predecessors, it is quite good at capturing shots and also features blurred backgrounds. Even the front end houses a dual sensor of 8MP and 5MP sensors thus making it an ideal choice for taking group selfies. As for its software, they run on Android Oreo with ThinQ additions. The LG V40 ThinQ gets the latest software overlaid on the top.

The LG V35 ThinQ price in UAE is AED 3122 and the LG V40 ThinQ price starts from AED 3305. It is available for pre-order starting from October 18. The launch of the latest smartphone may lead to fall in the price of LG V35 ThinQ. Though both the handsets carry almost similar hardware internals, the bigger screen and addition of extra camera lens make the LG V40 ThinQ a worthy option to consider.
