Last year, LG has followed specific design elements for its V series smartphones. Compared to the V10 and V20 handsets that came with metal designs, and removable batteries, whereas the V30 was offered with a sleek glass back, pOLED screen and a display with thin bezels. Hence, it is now being rumored that the LG V40 ThinQ might carry most of the aspects of its predecessor, LG V35. So here we gathered little information about this upcoming LG device and see what it has in store.
The latest LG V40 ThinQ news from ETNews states that the South Korean phone maker will be bringing this new device with a total of five cameras. As per the report, the handset will carry three cameras at the back, while the remaining two at the front. The rear cameras are said to feature 20MP primary, 16MP wide-angle as well as 13MP telephoto sensors. Meanwhile, the front cameras will come with support to the 3D facial recognition system.
Moving to the LG V40 ThinQ front profile, the company is in plans to improve its screen to body ratio. Probably, it will offer the new handset with a large display that is expected to conceal up to 90% of the phone’s front profile. As the reports suggest, it may have almost 90 percent screen to body ratio. Comparatively, the Apple iPhone X has around 82% of the screen covered, whereas the Samsung Galaxy S9 comes with about 84% of the same aspect.
As for the LG V40 ThinQ design, there are no leaked renders to give an idea of how the device will look like. But the presence of three rear cameras will certainly bring a change in the design or the way a device looks. However, it is not the first time for a smartphone to come with three cameras. There is already Huawei P20 Pro available in the market with a similar setup. But if LG continues to go with its current design language, then it may position the three cameras above the fingerprint scanner. On the other hand, the brand may also offer it with the popular notch design. If this happens to be true, then it will probably be the first handset in the V-series to sport the notch design with bezels even thinner than the LG G7 ThinQ.
Although there is not much information available about LG V40 ThinQ in UAE, a few sources are giving some hints about the device. According to reports, this latest LG smartphone may be incorporated with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core CPU and will run on the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. We can expect the brand to release it with either 4GB or 6GB RAM. However, there is no indication about the internal storage space. Meanwhile, the battery details of LG V40 ThinQ is also not revealed yet, but we can hope the company to offer it with support to fast charging, a feature that is present in most of the recent phones like Moto G5 Plus, Lenovo K8 Note, Nokia 8 and so on. Apart from these, there might also be a 3.5mm audio jack, dedicated Google Assistant button, and a few other aspects.
Most of the sources are hinting that the LG V40 ThinQ launch date in UAE will be at the beginning of October 2018. And to be specific, the LG V40 ThinQ launch date in UAE is expected to be on October 5.
Considering the prices of other handsets in the V-series, the LG V40 ThinQ price in UAE is anticipated to be between AED 3305 and AED 3670. As all the other V Series devices have been expensive, we can anticipate this upcoming phone to be pricey as well.
